ISO 45001 OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

ISO 45001 aims to identify potential hazards that may result in harm in advance and to implement preventive measures. It generally aligns with the fulfillment of legal and regulatory obligations. It is a voluntary management system applicable to all sectors and organizations regardless of size.

Formerly known as OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, the standard was published as ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System in March 2018. Organizations certified to OHSAS were given a transition period until March 2021 to migrate to the new standard. After this date, OHSAS certificates are no longer valid.
